Work at clinic!

We always always need volunteers at clinic to monitor pets waking up (must be able to relax AND focus!). It’s also great to have someone to assist at checkin and checkout, making sure pets get their proper name-tags, go into the right kennels, get carried as needed. We need people to keep the place clean and neat, because pets at clinic are not that. We do require that any volunteer who touches an animal to be over 18 years old. Keeping the staff fed and hydrated is always needed too. Bring us lunch, we will love you forever.

Grant Writing

Are you a great persuasive writer with good attention to detail and unafraid of spending a few days at the computer? You might well have success as a grant writer. In other words, you might well be a grant writer in the making! If you are a experienced, or have a connection who is, please consider pitching in!

Outreach

We need people with connections. We’re looking for the sort of social butterfly that knows everyone in the valley. The kind of person who wants to call all the city councils to propose spay and neuter adverts in water bills. The kind of person who would love to run a booth at the farmers market and talk to all the pet owners. Someone who will go to city council meetings to ask for funding to fix their feral cats.

Trappers

We need people who can trap feral cats around the San Luis Valley for TNR. Trap Neuter Return is a humane and healthy way to reduce feral cat populations, and the best way to prevent the tragedy of orphaned and sick kittens on the streets. Often the caretakers are not able to trap, transport, or shelter cats in traps before and after their surgery day. If you can help with these things, we need you!

Let’s do something great, together.
